Activities at Old Pier House
Whether you’re visiting the Old Pier on a tour of Scotland, or you’re just here for peace and quiet, we have activities and trails on our land situated amidst the most stunning Scottish backdrop.
The Land
Nestled within our private 75-acre estate, we provide a peaceful haven for numerous species of birds and wildlife, as well as our friendly horses and goats.
We encourage guests to explore our land freely. With picnic areas and a woodland treehouse, there’s plenty to entertain adults and children alike.
The Great Glen Way
The Highlands are home to some of Scotland’s most beautiful natural scenery. The Great Glen Way is one of the country’s most spectacular long-distance trails that can be explored by foot, bike, or water.
The Great Glen Way passes through our land, and our location at the mid point of the 79-mile trail makes the Old Pier House the perfect place to recoup after a long day’s trek.
Water Sports
With our unique setting on Loch Ness, we are handily situated for guests travelling by water. Canoeists, Kayakers, and Paddleboarders are welcome to moor their equipment on our shores during their stay.
Guests of Old Pier House are also welcome to paddle the beautiful shores of Loch Ness on one of our Canadian Canoes, or row on our small boating pond.
